At this time of year the City of San Francisco installs metallic red bows on all the public palm trees. No citizen can say those copious tax dollars don't ever result in anything tangible.
This is a bar in the same block of Market. It arose after my own bar phase was over, so I have never been inside, though I often enjoy the changing facade. Contrary to appearances, the trees are not pink. The trees are white. It's the glass (or more probably Plexiglas) that is pink.
An octagonal
FOR LEASE sign is visible (blurry, but visible) at top left in the last picture. I fear this may not indicate a bright-pink future for this bar.
