Before I took these photos, I never noticed those tiny bright red spots where the sweetpea leaf emerges from the stalk (as seen at center immediately above -- though perhaps more visible to non-partisan eyes when clicked up to large).
Late roses, a few left over from the first bloom. The bush is setting buds now for the second bloom. My daughter's roses have shown considerable enthusiasm, so far. They liked the odd weather this year – a long cool & wet spring followed by additional cool weather as summer set in.
And there were even still a few stray foxgloves left.
