At first there were only three things in this pot – orange-yellow marigolds, silver-gray dusty miller, purple petunias.
The dusty miller is still all thriving.
Some of the petunias and some of the marigolds appeared still to be thriving this weekend, but some of the petunias and some of the marigolds were clearly on their last legs.
Therefore, the weak ones got ripped out. Their successors were three – one maroon-black coleus, one cerise-colored coleus with tiny pointed leaves, one miniature calla lily.
The calla lily has prodigious-looking roots. It will probably take over the whole pot before long.
