Mabel showed me the blanket brought home from Mexico City, newly attached to recover the seat of the rocking chair. I admired it and we sat on it later to read many stories.
Why Baby Penelope (below) was temporarily "all nakedy" (as Mabel says) never got cleared up in my mind. Life around Mabel moves at a faster pace than any life I experience elsewhere, meaning that many potential questions
chez Mabel will never be answered before new events unfurl and absorb the attention.
Photos below are the work of my daughter, who picked up the camera while I was out of the room and pointed it at Mabel and pressed the silver button with no idea what results she would get, but rather as an existential throw of the dice.
