Reapers Resting in a Wheat Field 1885 |
Oils and watercolors by John Singer Sargent (1856-1925) from the period of his early prime centered in the 1880s. These showpieces live now at the Metropolitan Museum in New York. Several remained in Sargent's personal studio-collection, passing to heirs within the family until consigned to the great omnivorous Museum.
