A cold rain fell all day Sunday. The flowers liked this weather but it did not encourage any abundance of photography in the East Bay garden where my daughter's roses grow. Freesias and ranunculus upheld the idea of Easter bravely all the same, shining in the gloom.
The sweet peas have undergone a bit of snail damage but are not seriously discouraged in their search for a vertical path. I put a loose & hasty web of string within reach of the plants that seemed most in need of assistance.
Once warm weather gets established (and that will surely happen sometime in April) the foxgloves and red-potted dianthus and numerous other young plants are poised to do some serious flowering.
