Friday Morning
Arranged an extra day away from the San Francisco library where I work – in order to make a long weekend longer and (even more) to allow for sleeping late after last night's almost-overpowering excitement at the ballet – an excitement that predictably kept me up until 2 a.m. Ventured out this morning under low-hanging clouds, but fortunately the rain didn't begin until after I'd finished my few errands in the Castro, when a convenient orange trolley car offered itself. I rode it down Market Street to Dolores – where I disembarked and took this picture looking south on Dolores under a steady drizzle. The walk to Spencer Alley from this spot is only a couple of blocks. And though I did not have an umbrella, I did have a hood.
