The mitred quarter-round at top must have gleamed with fresh shiny black paint about 40 years ago. It has sat out in the weather ever since, untouched.
The expanse of blank blue wall, on the other hand, gets repainted frequently, as it is often the target of felonious vandals. As tagging goes, this is an odd example, clearly executed with a brush and pot of paint, rather than the broad felt-tip or handy spray-can.
