Sudden Weed Patch

This is the spot in San Francisco (on Stanyan near Fulton) where I catch MUNI every afternoon at the end of my work day. A month ago the Golden Gate Park gardeners mowed this area flat, eradicating a thicket of blackberry vines and weeds. Both are coming back strong. At this moment the weeds prevail and are jubilant on a warm windy cloudy day that seems to promise more rain. I can safely predict that the blackberry vines will predominate before summer is here.
