Some while back we looked here at work by pioneer professional photographer Gertrude Käsebier (1852-1934). I came across a few more decent scans here of images made from her 8 x 10 glass negatives. The original prints are in the Library of Congress. The little boy in the center of the bottom photo (taken in 1902) was Käsebier's grandson. I notice that she subordinates everybody else in the picture to him, just as I always do when photographing Mabel Watson Payne.
