This is my downtown San Francisco sidewalk cafe perch where I wait and read (or take pictures) on the afternoons when I have a coveted invitation to visit Mabel Watson Payne. She is usually napping when I arrive. I do not like to go inside until the nap is over and there is no more risk of waking her early.
The local cafe is a hang-out for art students, mostly. That explains why the graffiti and cartoons on the bathroom walls are of a relatively high caliber.
