Fire Station With Mud

I was barely through the door on Wednesday afternoon when Mabel Watson Payne urged me to join her on the carpet so we could build another fire station, like the one we did last week. This new  fire station had a green base, then a foundation of brown mud, then gray mud. But when the gray ran out, Mabel declared blue to be "a sort of gray" which allowed the blue blocks to also pass muster as mud. She conceived and executed this multipurpose environment all on her own, explaining what she was doing as she went along, and occasionally asking for an opinion, but never for advice.
