The Man Ray photographs (above) and the Picasso paintings (below) represent the same famous muse and artist, Dora Maar, as she appeared in the mid-1930s. I discovered the Man Ray pictures here, never having seen them before. Then I wanted to look again at some of Picasso's versions. It seemed to me the Picassos suffered from the comparison.
