Library Day
\
Wednesday morning is story time at the public library for Mabel Watson Payne. That means when Mamma comes home that evening she can immediately sit down and take her turn sharing the stack of newly borrowed books.
As for the blocks below (an Easter present from the East Bay via her grandmother) Mabel is still assessing their possibilities. Perhaps the world will never know what she could do with these blocks if left to her own devices, however, because they are so attractive that every passing adult kneels down and starts to participate, firming up and consolidating as they go. I was very guilty of this sin myself. Someday soon, though, Mabel will likely enough find an independent opportunity to construct some never-before-seen block-structure all on her own.
