Tomma Abts at
Galerie Buckholz in Berlin. Born in Germany in 1967, the Turner Prize winner has lived and worked in London for several years. As in the past, her canvases uniformly measure 48 by 38 cm, and display vertically. In 2010 I described Abst's aesthetic as
minimal-geometrical-illusionistic. She by now seems firmly enough committed to this personalized format that any departure from it would surely cause her fans a serious shock.
