Gifts
My daughter maintains that I am hard to buy presents for. All of these are presents from her, except for the square box covered with mirror-tiles, which is a memento of the wedding of the dear young couple who joined me in Georgetown for dinner last week (thereby creating by far the most pleasant evening of my entire DC trip). The two dark rounded shapes on the left at the back are the most recent additions to the collection, a two-part Father's Day token from Heath Ceramics ostensibly intended to contain salt and pepper, but surely really mainly intended to be photographed. How glad I am to be back in the Mission at home, taking pictures in the exemplary daylight of San Francisco.
