Thick fog Friday evening in the Haight. On all sides throughout the summer complaints are loud that San Francisco is even colder and darker than usual, with only the occasional bright afternoon. I have not joined in these complaints. Bright colors glow brighter in the fog, as above. Direct sun would definitely wash them out to some degree. And pale colors, like the pinks below, find their best chance in the fog to emerge from their urban backgrounds and shine as the stars of their own stories.
