Thanksgiving picnic at Point Reyes in Marin County. Drake's Bay was sunny and sheltered and virtually empty. The shallow water changed color minute by minute. Tidal patterns in the sand remained pristine, untouched by humans or animals or birds.
Jelly fish washed ashore, peaceful and dead, several dozen of them. They were the most numerous inhabitants of the beach.
There were no other unusual objects in the sand, but there were many noteworthy shadows.
