Mabel had her brand-new pumpkin when I came over Sunday afternoon. She had picked it, she said, because it was one of the roundest. This was at the traditional pumpkin patch farm with her friends. The pumpkin modeled for the central ovals in the large complicated drawings we made under Mabel's direction.
