Rain Threatening
Walked over to the Castro for coffee beans and cash, with the light fading on Christmas Eve in San Francisco and rain hovering but not falling.
The Delancey Street Christmas tree lot at Market and Sanchez had already been totally cleared out by the workers and abandoned. No last-minute trees.
Interesting how those cheery red-and-white poles look suddenly phony, with the raw-wood supports and chain-link fencing coming into their own.
And then there are the fairy lights in the denuded Market Street plane trees. Still time to get safely inside before the rain starts.
