And one of its big themes turns out to be the granny square. Everybody is surely already more than familiar-enough with the original reference -- afghans or blankets like the one below.

Personally, I would never have volunteered myself for the job of transforming something like the blanket above into something like the garment below. But I am glad Christopher Kane was brave enough to take it on.

He found himself solving the problem in several different ways. And ultimately, instead of editing all those ideas down to a single basic look, he went ahead and showed many different ideas all at once.
