| Buckingham Palace Green Drawing Room |
There can hardly exist any picture of a Buckingham Palace interior or furnishing or fitting that lacks its component of giltwood. The green drawing room (immediately above, from a 19th century watercolor) has in fact been seen before on this rolling screen in a quite different context – in 2011 it was chosen by photographer Thomas Struth as the setting for his portrait of Queen Elizabeth II and Prince Philip.
