Grandma made a birthday cake for Mabel on Saturday. Two layers, shaped like a heart, filled with strawberries, and frosted. She adorned the top with a 4 made of pink meringue kisses from Miette. Then she arranged the presents, and waited for Mabel to arrive.
Grandma gave Mabel a pair of large foam dice. They played a game, each throwing one, to see who would get a higher number. Mabel's job was to count the dots and announce who won.
