Strahov Monastery in Prague preserves an elaborate Baroque library on multiple levels, now of course deployed primarily as a tourist attraction. The backs of the books, double-shelved, make a pleasing and undemanding spectacle, no longer challenging any living readers with the outdated task of comprehension.
