Somebody painted a portrait of Joyce Carol Oates on a paper plate.
Wish I could remember where I stumbled across this artifact.
No doubt many other figures of fame have been painted onto paper plates, and a person might make a project out of searching them out.
My daughter and I (in her child years) sometimes painted pictures on paper plates.
But I do not think we would have had the skill or the wish to capture likenesses of authors in this format.
We would paint subjects such as Gumby and his Orange Horse.
