Idealized Children of 1929

These linoleum cuts are from a group of twenty-four exhibited at the Pasadena Public Library in 1929 by the three Gearhart sisters: Frances, May and Edna. Together in the 1920s they ran a gallery in Pasadena selling their own prints and those of other artists.

The Book Club of California has published the images in book form for the first time, eighty years after their creation, in a volume called Let's Play.
