Welsh sculptor Richard Deacon was born in 1949. The Tate in London possesses a large collection of the drawings and prints that underpin his primary work conceiving and constructing large objects in three dimensions. Personally, I am more partial to the studies on paper and less partial to the room-sized organic forms.
