The afternoon sunlight lured me into nearby Golden Gate Park after I finished the work day at the library. Given the temporarily glorious weather San Francisco has been enjoying, I expected a lot of other people, but there was almost nobody around. Just unobstructed nature (as arranged and maintained by human hands).

When it started to get cold I left the park and found I had walked almost to the ocean. There it is, the blue Pacific, at the far end of Judah Street, seen from the trolley stop.
