Ando

Tadao Ando of Japan is my own personal favorite among living architects.

Ando's concrete churches share about equal fame with his concrete museums, but I have not offered any visual samples from the churches here because the lighted-cross-trademark-thingy that shows up in just about every Ando church kind of gives me the willies, due to an early grounding in bitter Calvinism. Instead, below, are other kinds of projects  first, a museum installation; and last, a peculiarity for which I can find no name. Ando was responsible for the building, yes. But I do not know if he was also the one who conceived Da Vinci's Last Supper As Billboard.
