Buddleia
My daughter and son-in-law found this intense purple buddleia at the Ferry Building Farmers' Market yesterday and rode home with it and with Mabel Watson Payne on a San Francisco cable car. It was the first cable car ride in the life of Mabel Watson Payne.
This morning she was still resting up from her adventures when friends showed up for a visit. Mabel Watson Payne was not quite willing to wake up, but was happy to be held in turn by each of the eager visitors.
More presents to open. Mabel Watson Payne has already acquired an abundant supply of clothing for the next two years, at least.
The buddleia refused to appear in the same photo with Mabel Watson Payne because of the obvious fact that she would all too easily steal the scene with her overpowering beauty.
