Holiday Monday
When I first went out this morning to run a few errands in the Castro on a holiday Monday, the skies were clear and blue. But before I finished, all kinds of dark threatening clouds swept in and made me think what a fool I was not to bring an umbrella.
However, no rain fell. And in fact the sky stayed like this -- a charming schizophrenic mix of light and shade – all day. In the afternoon I went to the movies and saw a restored print of Luchino Visconti's 1963 costume-epic, The Leopard, which I had seen on the big screen once before, probably 25 years ago.
I can report with confidence that Claudia Cardinale has not faded in the least and in fact is looking more beautiful than ever.
