Keith Arnott (1930-2008) participated in the English birth of conceptual art starting in the pioneer decades of the 60s and 70s.
Notes from Jo (sampled above) came into existence later, between 1991 and 1995. Arnott photographed messages left for him around the house by his wife.
These blown-up graphic relics of an extinct relationship (both parties having died) were recently back in public with a new exhibition in Berlin at
Sprüth Magers.
