Battered but brave mosaic pavement on the corner of Haight and Cole, the same place I found the teeming life forms sprawling across a broad wall yesterday. I wonder there is not a major revival in mosaic decoration, which last flourished in San Francisco, so far as I can tell, in the 1930s.
