Rest Stop
Mabel Watson Payne and her parents are heading back East later in the month to spend Thanksgiving with her father's large family. This Sunday there was an early Northern California pseudo-Thanksgiving dinner at Negri's in Occidental after a long drive up through Marin County. Most of these autumnal outdoor pictures were taken during a rest stop at a favorite bakery and garden located in a clearing somewhere in the middle of the trees. An urban child, Mabel Watson Payne is nevertheless always ready to entertain any stray snippets of nature that come her way.
