For Spring
Last week with uncertain hope I drew my daughter's attention to the photo above (from the look book of UK clothing makers TOAST). It seemed to me that the checkered shirt and floral skirt might combine usefully for that one young professional woman in San Francisco whose wardrobe is never far from my heart or thoughts. And I reproduce the outfit here to celebrate the fact that (in this case) my suggestion was endorsed. Oh! Oh! Oh! The elderly are forever amazed when they once-in-a-while manage to channel the taste of the prime-time adults their children have become! In gratitude to TOAST for making this happiness possible, I am deploying here a few selected additional seasonal colors and textures and garments from the range they presently offer.
