The 1930s dust jackets from the Soviet Union are part of a scrapbook at the New York Public Library containing hundreds of these Russian modernist designs. Stalinist persecution of avant-garde artists appears not to have interfered with avant-garde typography. The alternating paintings by Amy Sillman (b. 1955) were shown in 2014-15 under the title Yes and No at Kunsthaus Bregenz.
