The Anglo-Belgian sculptor Jacques de Lalaing (1858-1917) was his own photographer, setting models in poses he could later reference while carving or modeling his statues. The sequences here appear all to involve the same artist's model, interacting in different sessions for different projects with a studio full of props and platforms.
