Many of the picture books picked out by Mabel Watson Payne at San Francisco Public Library organize themselves internally by color. Many of them also validate the visual experience of the "urban baby" (as opposed to the traditional pastoral baby living among green fields and sheep). When I saw these two photos in proximity on my camera's memory card, it was obvious they were meant to be a double-page spread for YELLOW.
