Red Plastic Tumbler

Entire sequence at 1/400 second, f/2.8, ISO 1000

I was paying so much attention through the viewfinder to the faces of Mabel Watson Payne and her Daddy that I never found out what she was pointing at outside the window.

Doing these particular pictures (where the technical settings plus the natural lighting plus the subjects themselves all happened to coalesce for enough time to allow more than a single quick breath) I discovered the value of the new camera's rapid recovery, allowing a rapid series of variations that read like action stills.
