Girls 1910

Miss Kate

Miss Pam

Miss Violet

These chorus girls of 1910 are (like Kellar the Magician yesterday) preserved at the Library of Congress in the form of lithographic posters. I'm curious about the artist who conceived this look (combining photo-based faces/torsos with minimal white-line figure-drawings) but the Dana T. Bennett Company of New York (as printer) is the only credit preserved. Each lovely is identified in capital letters by her individual stage name, like the dancers of the future Kit-Kat Club in Cabaret. You can all but hear the master of ceremonies introducing them – "Every one a virgin!"
